The MilTownKlan Musically Declares War On The City of Milwaukee

The following (like my life) is a work of fiction:

We don’t have a great war in our generation, or a great depression, but we do, we have a great war of the spirit. We have a great revolution against the culture. The great depression is our lives. We have a spiritual depression.
~Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club, Chapter 19

I thought I was going to share some campaign music but… after some thought… This is WAR music.

Shit aint balanced here in Milwaukee (looks like the rest of the world too). Time to restore balance…

MilTownKlan, what do you think some good war music is? ๐Ÿ˜€ Here are a couple choices I came up with and why, but the Klan aint a me, it’s a we. If you have a better idea post it in the comments.

Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit

“If you want beef, then bring the ruckus. Wu-Tang Clan (ๆญฆ็•ถๆดพ) ain’t nothing to f’ with.” – Wu-Tang Clan

“The future aint nothing to be messing wit.” – miltownpops (leader of the MilTownKlan)

Before I was introduced to Wu-Tang Clan (the musical group), I was introduced to Daoism and the ๆญฆ็•ถๆดพ. Later I believed in immortals, thought I was a soldier of the Monkey King that was sent here to bridge the gap between the East and the West. The Wu-Tang Clan felt like a natural bridge between the East and the West, so I started walking it.

That walk took me to Taiwan, introductions to immortals and a mission to return to Milwaukee and share the knowledge gained. Since returning in 2007 the City of Milwaukee has done nothing but fight with me. So… I’m… reacting… WITH WAR! ๐Ÿ˜€ lol

miltownpops voted for this one, as do I. ๐Ÿ™‚

50 Cent – I Still Kill

“I got an arsenal, an infantry I’m built for this mentally
That’s why I’m the general, I do what they pretend to do
Front on me now nigga I’ll be the end of you
Forget your enemies and think of what your friends’ll do?

Get the message from the lines or get the message from the nine

“The O.G.’s wanna talk but I don’t know these niggas
And I ain’t did no business wit ’em, I don’t owe these niggas

This is where I originally wanted to place my vote. I wasn’t sure why until… I realized how much RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGEEEEEE I still have in me (can’t tell from my jovial attitude eh?)

Now I dedicate this song to anyone that decides to run AGAINST me instead of WITH us.

Common – The People

“You know how WE do, WE do it for the people.”

Not exactly war music huh… lol I was suppose to be picking campaign music but… I’m not “enlightened” enough to use this for my campaign theme yet. ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Common spoke to me (literally and figuratively) at a concert 4 years back. He was doing a freestyle, then pointed to me recording and said:

“See my man with a camera for a phone.”

(Here’s the video, turn the speakers down, the audio is terrible. Skip to :50)

There was another time during the performance that he mentioned something about… looking for soldiers or something and looked it me with this weird twinkle in his eye (I know, I know… sounds like bullshit but it ‘s true!) Those experiences made me want to read everything I could about Common and what he was up to. That lead me to the Common Ground Foundation (the website was TERRIBLE back then, looks a little better now. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

THEN (if that wasn’t weird enough) a couple days later I was walking through the halls of UWM and got handed a PETA flyer after reading that Common supported PETA (I wouldn’t have taken the flier if it wasn’t for having read about Common).

Ever since then I’ve thought about supporting PETA… haven’t had the time to figure out if that’s something I want to do yet. ๐Ÿ˜› (They do be having some lulzy commercials though! lol)

Smif N Wessun feat. Dead Prez – Warrior’s Heart

I was doing some “interneting” on this whole process of “declaring war” (came across lots of fun stuff! :D) According to Wired Anonymous and/or Antisec posted this video to the homepages of a bunch of police websites… Nice.

I wouldn’t be mad if this got the most votes as it’s baller as hell.

In A Couple Weeks…

I’ll post a video of me (and perhaps some other peoplez) break dancing, popping, locking, supermaning hos, shuffling, chicken noodle souping or whatever the fuck it is the kids are doing these days to the winning track.

stay black

Note To OLD FUCKS in Milwaukee

You’re only an old fuck if you’re not with us. If you’re with us, you understand we’re timeless.

The ass whooping you’re about to receive in this election is from what I like to call Web 3.0. Called it that 3 years ago. Wish I still had my nappy fro. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

[Here’s the BLOG POST I wrote about it. Read it. Learn things.]

I’m on like web 5.0 now, but I’ll save that shit for later to give “you guys” (you still think there’s us and them… lol) a chance.

Another problem you old guard fuckers have is that you don’t 100% shit. When I bought Grand Theft Auto Vice City, just “beating the game” (you lose! lol) wasn’t enough. I took my time with it, had fun and 100%ed it. Now, I did have to get an FAQ (a Frequently Asked Questions document) to help me figure everything out, but when I did… man that was nice. Then it was fun to move on to the next. I’m not saying you have to 100% every game you play, but you certain SHOULD when you’re playing a game with people’s lives and lively hoods! Slow the fuck down! (How does it feel being told to slow the fuck down by a (miltown)kid? lol) How can you run an aldermanic district when you can’t run a house or block? How can you run a city when you can’t run an aldermanic district? How can you run a state when you couldn’t run a city (*cough* Scott Walker *cough*)?

And when I say run, I mean 100% that shit! What the fuck is the hurry? I know you can’t really 100% life, but you can at least 80% it. Yall be doing shit to like… 20% levels. Yall be doing shit to the point where people are like “Why the fuck do we even need you there? What do you do?”

I don’t like any of them. I’m an “old fuck” and I know what it’s like to have a gun pointed at my head and have my life threatened. Angry black men may feel powerful doing that, but that doesn’t make them powerful. I don’t know what kind of message you’re trying to promote, but with themes like that, you wouldn’t get my vote.

Marvin Gaye, “What’s Goin’ On” that’s my suggestion.

What’s going on is a good one. I’ll have to give that another listen. Funny how I’ve never had any trouble with angry black man, but so much trouble with White men with badges…

  2. JoeSomebody2 says:

“The People” is for me if I had to make a choice, because it’s mellow in comparison to the rest. Not that it’s wrong to have energy, but I’m of the mind government isn’t necessarily about energy, but work and patience. If anything, controlled and focused energy. Yes, get some people mad who can’t take it anymore, but then a little something more than yelling, you know? ๐Ÿ˜›

And huzzah for Immortal Technique, who refuses to be bought by the man!

  3. Eklctc says:

I have to put my vote in for ‘The People’ as well because I think it is a good ‘aspire’ to song so you want to keep sharing words and experiences you want to manifest. Because of that, none of the other songs are appealing to me because they are more … defensive to me … versus seeking to solve the problem in a way that isn’t going to piss everyone off. ๐Ÿ™‚
