I’ve never heard of a “personal development plan” until two weeks ago when I started volunteering at [the Milwaukee University Graduate School Cooperative (MUGS Co-op for short).]

What the MUGS Co-op does is explained very clearly and quickly on the first page of their website:
We help [high school aged] students get work. Graduate. And start careers.

This post is going to suck…
So, while I was looking at the comments from yesterday’s blog post, one of my old posts showed up in the related posts thing. ["Beard Gone, Camera Back and Medical Success!"]
I got a request to talk about why I keep a beard in a video so seeing that post reminded of it. I decided to talk about that in the video I put together today and post a poll along with it.
My mom won’t like hearing it, but I’m a tad hung over today. My friend was buying drinks at Kenadee’s last night and I had one too many. Hence the suck.

These are the three most important things for me to do. They’re obviously important for everyone, but they’re really important for me.
When I do poorly in any one of these, things get unbalanced, when things get unbalanced I don’t think clearly, when I don’t think clearly it leads to… “bad news.” The bad news I speak of is a manic episode that leads to hospitalization (at a [psychiatric hospital]). Now I’ve only had this happen three times and the last time was five years ago, but trust me, once is enough to make you ultra paranoid about not letting it happen again.
Right now I’m only doing a good job in of one out of my three necessities and that’s just unacceptable. Even doing two out of three is bad, so one out of three is terrible. First, the one I’m taking care of. « Read the rest of this entry »

I should share this one on my blog too.
I NEVER give money to people that ask. I’ve made a commitment not to. So when Jesse asked me for some change, naturally I said no. But something happened inside of me this time. After passing him I thought to myself “I bet I could get an interesting video out of this dude and then I could pay him for his work.”

An Internet of Awesome

That’s the title of the new format for [miltownkid's YouTube channel].
Here’s the run down. I’m going to (try my hardest to) make a video a day Monday through Friday. Every Monday will be “MilTownKlan” a day where I’ll show clips that viewers submit. Tuesday-Friday will be a video that shares Awesome and Internet (or even awesome shit on the Internet). I’m going to make it as interactive as I possibly can. So every day I’ll be responding to comments made on the previous days video, I’m going to do shit people suggest, etc. The awesome shit will be shit I see in Milwaukee and on the Internet. So every day I’ll drop some awesome internet shit I’ve seen recently and some awesome clips I’ve recorded (if I have any). « Read the rest of this entry »
