Chain Blogging Eh?
December 31st, 2006 § 6 Comments
I happened to check my blog feeds yesterday (after weeks of not) and noticed I was chosen to participate in a “chain blogish thingy…” :s Normal a chain anything would piss my off, but with this one, I’m honored.
Mark from Toshuo, got me. The topic is…
5 Things You Didn’t Know About Me
#1 I’ve been kicked off the school bus for farting.
That’s right. I can’t remember exactly how the story goes, but it was back when farting was all the rage (9 years old perhaps?) I’d get close to the bus driver and drop the smelliest ass smell my ass could muster. He got real upset and asked me why I couldn’t just hold it in and I told him (like ma had taught me) “Tis better to bare the shame than bare the pain.” I think I had to get rides to school for a week after that.
#2 I went to a Spanish immersion school from 1st to 5th grade.
So I was at one point fluent in Spanish. I think being exposed to a second language so early in life is one of the things that made studying Chinese easier for me (than what I’ve seen for some people.) The Languagendecktomatic core of my brain had an early start.
#3 Training Day is my favorite movie.
I watch Training day every few months or so for some reason. I think there are some really cool “hidden” messages in the movie or something. Messages that film makers and actors might not have been aware of (or perhaps they totally were.) That and the fact that it’s about a “crooked” tough guy good cop, that rolls through the movie being a hard ass.
#4 I’ve made a teacher cry.
I was in the third grade I think and there was this teacher I REALLY didn’t like. I remember her doing things like taking points off my homework for putting my name and date on the wrong side of the paper, and other daft things like that. I made up a whole rap about her. I can only remember the start:
I know this TURKEY!
Her name with Ms. Gurkey!
I gave her 5 dollars for some BEEF JERKY!!It was longer than that, but that’s all that I remember.
#5 I’m Bipolar.
Most people close to me know this, but I still don’t. Slowly, I’m becoming more comfortable with that label. It’s strange, someone could say:
- You’re American.
- You’re Mixed Race.
- You’re a PIMP!
- You have black hair.
Or any such things like that, but I’m often offended by being called bipolar. I guess that too is also a part of who “I am.”
There go my 5. I was having trouble coming up with anything, but the strange thing is I know there must be a ton of stuff (like I’ve done gymnastics, there’s one) but I was having trouble choosing I guess. Well, here go my 5 people:
Back to the Strange
December 29th, 2006 § 4 Comments
Well, last night brought me my first ever “anxiety attack.” I feel strange calling it that, but don’t know what else to call it. Like I said in my last post, I had been feeling kind of strange all week, but when I got home from work last night, I was… stuck (for like 3 hours.) I just kind of zoned out in front of the TV. Then I decided to “get moving.” That worked out pretty well. I started cleaning and stuff, but then that turned into… me morphing into some kind of tweaked out city ninja (see video below.)
I’m sure this was induced from my lack of medication, but it felt almost purely physical. Nothing really felt mentally off. Well, wife came home and saw me looking like Man-At-Arms with his head tucked into his power suit and decided I was better off going to the hospital sooner instead of later (which was probably a good move.)

(from insanity.net)
So I went to the hospital, got enough meds to last till my next doctors visit and came home. Decided to take a mental health day off of work to get reacquainted with the drogas.
Oh yeah, I also took some Chinese Medicine straight outta Wutang mountain. I-Ping bought it the last time I had an episode. The shit’s like 100US/ball. It has a taste similar to what I can only describe as dry ass crack
Here’s photographic evidence of the night. I even tried using the new photo shooting techniques I was taught earlier in the week to make it more… photographic.

That stack of CDs in the background are all the CDs I’ve made "back ups" of or things people have given me to watch. I have a lot of work to do.
Here also is a photo I happened to take yesterday. Check out number 8. Guess who their teacher is. Heh.

Well, all should be back to normal unorder by mid weekend. Below is video footage of the Xbox being back and anxiagoodness.
Youtube was fucking up. So I threw it on revver.
What To Do When I Actually Get Things Done?
December 28th, 2006 § 2 Comments
Well, I’ve been having a “strange” week. The strange thing about the week for me is that it hasn’t been strange. I usually walk around with this feeling… This feeling that I have something to sort out, or do right away, but I don’t. My email Inbox is totally cleaned and caught up. The area around my computer is getting progressively cleaner and cleaner (like magic or something.) The files on my computer are organized. My thoughts are neatly laid out in my notebook somewhere. What to do?
The only thing I can think up doing is coming up with more things to do, but I’m going to hold off on that for now. It’s not that I actually have everything done, but I’m right on top of everything. Even though it feels strange, I’m going to continue riding this thing. I’m going to ride it out until some of the more “major” to do items get completely crossed off (like applying for University.)
Ran Out of Happy Pills
I ran out of brain candy earlier in the week (actually, last week now that I think of it.) This could also be the cause of my “strange empty feeling” but I don’t think so (well, I believe it’s partly responsible.) I was exercising the thoughts of notfilling them, but I’m done with that and will be heading to the hospital directly after posting this to get more. I really don’t like taking the stuff, but my current situation isn’t the a good one to experiment with self unmedicating with mood altering drogas.
Drive Slow Hommie
Something else I’ve been experimenting with is… slow. Being slow with almost everything I can think of, driving being a good example. I’m usually zipping through the streets of Taipei “pedal to the metal” going about 80KPH or so. I’ve brought that cruising speed down to 50-60KPH. I’ve also slowed down my walking speed, cleaning, thinking and all that. What’s the rush eh? As soon as it’s done/you’re there, there’s something else to do/somewhere else to go.
Free Lesbian Erotica
See, the beautiful thing about helping others is you learn new things, get positive vibes and find free lesbian erotica photo sites.
I was doing some research for the stock photography website project I’m working on and came across a site that links to photography websites. For some reason the first page that my eyeballs locked on to was Free Lesbian Erotica.
I thought I’d share my find. I suppose finding these sorts of pages is easy if you’re looking for them, but it’s always nice to bump into this:

(DuFille.com – Free lesbian erotica)
On/By accident. It’s actually one of those sites that links to a bunch of other sites to make money affiliate program style… but I aint mad at’em.
Now I best hit it to the hospital.
9000!! NINE THOUSAAAAANDD!

I’ve been waiting for a serious fuckin’ business ass reason to share this video. Today, I got one.
Chillin’ At The Crib (Finally!)
December 26th, 2006 § 2 Comments
I had a busy day today. Tuesday is my "get some shit done" day and I’ve been pretty good about it. Today I got tons of stuff done, but I somehow feel like I didn’t at the same time. I think it’s because I didn’t get stuff done around the house and now that I’m finally back home, I want to play Xbox (and that’s what I’m going to do after I write this.)
The day started with some mild computing….
I don’t want to write about my day
. Basically I scooted around a bunch, met up with people and got home late. I did get to see a friend off today. Took her to some lunch, then helped her pack up her dogs into a van that was off to the airport, then off of the island. I also did some "consulting" work today for someone trying to setup a stock photography site. I’ll looking into an Open Source solution for her. I’ll share whatever it is I figure out.
I’ve recently committed to making a Community Currecy happen here in Taiwan. It’s a project I’ve been "working" on for more than a year, but now I’m taking it really seriously.
Community Currency (or Complementary Currency) is a way for people to exchange goods or services without using money. It facilitates multi-way trading/bartering. It’s VERY cool and you will hear more about it in the future.
Now, I’m going to get on my 360 (which I haven’t played since Sunday morning which is like an eternity for me
)
Oh, and I’m also trying to get Game Club popping again. If you’re in Taipei and like board gaming contact me (post a comment or peep the about page.) Here’s a random game club picture from almost 2 years ago.
