emKid Imports Chicken Noodle Soup to Asia

October 31st, 2006 § 11 Comments

Leave it to miltownkid to hook you up with the newest hotness from the US.  Even cats in the US don’t know what time it is on this one.  I’m sure someone (me?) will be teaching this shit in dancing buxibans (cram schools) in no time.  Well, here it is, if you want to see more do a Youtube search for Chicken Noodle Soup (look I did it for you).  You’ll either be like WHAT THE FUCK?!? or What the FUCK?  The difference between those two reponses is one will make you watch 20 more videos and the other will make your head explode.

ENJOY!

If you use YouTube, go to the page and give me five stars :D

JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE!!!

Alcohol Makes You Stupid

October 29th, 2006 § 3 Comments

I know this seems obvious, but allow me to elaborate.  I’m not talking about the night out drinking when dizziness ensues.  I’m talking about the following day.  My notebook has revealed to me how little I have to say to myself after a night out drinking (I usually have tons.)  My daily blog rhythm often gets broken after a Friday night out drinking (which is every Friday :D .)

Alcohol is also a motivation killer…  I think the problem I had with it this weekend is that I ended up drinking Friday, Saturday and tonight.  I also can’t seem to just drink one beer, that seems silly, it has to be… "more than one" ;) .  This is the first time I’ve noticed not liking it so much.  I think I’m going to be strict with myself about not drinking outside of Friday nights (I really like drinking on Fridays :D .)  And when I do, to be sure to get to Jujitsu to help kill the hangover stupidness effect.

So yesterday we had a haunted house at school.  It was my job to sit quitely in a corner (like a ninja) and jump out of a garbage bag and go "AAAAAAAAAARARHAHRHARHRHHARHARHHAR."  I got a lot of people really good.  One kid attacked me with his scythe (which is always a sign of a job well done.)  Here’s what the room look like, only a lot darker.  I was in the corner to the right in a garbage bag.

Haunted House

I also saw someone dressed up like a 4 Foot Murderous Ninja Midget of Death.

Sony Offially Sucks Donkey Dong

October 26th, 2006 § 2 Comments

I will now not buy a PS3 on principal, unless I somehow end up feeling justice after the wrong that has been done by Sony.  I understand that companies have to do some things that suck, because it’s just the nature of things (everything can’t be pleasing to everybody,) but a line has been crossed here.  Read on…

Important Notice: Lik-Sang.com Out of Business due to Multiple Sony Lawsuits

Lik-Sang.com, the popular gaming retailer from Hong Kong, has today announced that it is forced to close down due to multiple legal actions brought against it by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Sony claimed that Lik-Sang infringed its trade marks, copyright and registered design rights by selling Sony PSP consoles from Asia to European customers, and have recently obtained a judgment in the High Court of London (England) rendering Lik-Sang’s sales of PSP consoles unlawful.

Link-Sang.com was the place where I ordered US PS2 games because I couldn’t get them here in Asia.  I went about things the "right" way and actually bought my games, even though living it Asia makes it super easy to get your system modified to play copies.  The new Nintendo system comes out soon and I was going to buy an American version and then get American games from Lik-Sang.  Not anymore.

A comment from the article sums up my feelings nicely:

**Latest News From Sony**

We hate all gamers!

But please buy our over priced ps3

I think this was a really bad PR move on Sony’s part.  I hope this turns out to be a "joke."  If it isn’t I might never buy a Sony product again ever.  That’s an easy statement to make since their products have seem to been getting suckier and suckier lately.

Lee Teng-hui (hway) and COSPLAY!

October 25th, 2006 § 4 Comments

While doing research for my post yesterday I cam across a bit of information that readers interested in Taiwan might find… interesting.

I hosnestly don’t know much about the politics surrounding Mr. Dung but one has to love a shot like that.  I do know that he was hard ass of sorts, so it makes the shot all the funnier.  I’m sure that if he kept dressing like that he’d probably still be President (of THE PLANET!)  Click image to go to Wikipedia.

Note: Lee Teng-hui (wikipedia entry) was one of Taiwan’s former Presidents.

Another New Look

October 24th, 2006 § 5 Comments

I tweaked things out on the blog a bit today.  I hooked up a new banner, designed by Tash, and I changed some things in the sidebar.  I also changed the font to a sanserif one.  Now, a brief story about the header…

It may seem strange to some to have young Goku in my banner, but it actually makes perfect sense for a lot of reasons.  The series “Dragon Ball” is based on a story called “The Monkey King” (or “Journey to the West”.)  I heard about the Monkey King story shortly before my first psychotic episode and it ended up playing a big role in the roles I played while flipping out (riding a flying cloud is as much fun as it looks.)

Even before I found out about the Monkey King, I was a fan of Dragon Ball (like any proper japanaphile would be.)  I really liked the young Goku character.  Well, recently (about 2 weeks ago) I finished reading the entire Dragon Ball series in Chinese.  Seeing the cockiness of his character and the willingness he was to fight or display his skill made it apparent that we have much in common.

In closing, I like the parallels between Goku and I.  We both mirror the Monkey King, Goku by artist concept, me by choice.  We both keep the flame of eternal youth burning.  We both sport fly hair cuts.  And we’ve both ridden flying clouds.

We also both like competing in "World Tournaments."  I forgot to mention I confirmed my entry in the "The 1st World Cup Tai Chi Chuan Championship 2006" yesterday.  Speaking of Taiji…  A video has been uploaded to Youtube of me from when I visited Master Wang some years back.  I’m sure you’ll love it.
