So I’m on my way to work this morning, drinking one of those fancy Japanese 7/11 drinks and looking at the bottle. After taking in the funny squiggles for a moment I think to myself “I think I should learn some Japanese.”

Then I thought, “Maybe I should finish learning Chinese first.” Then I realized you don’t learn a language, you study it, you use it, but you never learn it (like learning how to tie ones shoe, or learning your ABCs).

Then, as I sipped my pulpy lemon drink, I said to myself no one ever learns “Chinese” even though you’ll here things like “My friend learned Chinese in 2 years.” What the fuck does that mean?!?

Like break dancing, you don’t learn how to break dance. You either break, or practice (study) breaking. Saying you learned how seems to put a cap on the learning process.

So from this point forward I shall file my knowledge into things I study and things I’ve learned. On writing this I’ve realized one can continue to study something one’s learned already. I believe this refinement is what leads to mastery.

We all know (learned) how to kick, but it’s people like Bruce Lee that can put a hole in your chest.

I was going to post this over at Forumosa.com, but then figured I should just copy and paste it over here. They hear enough of my mental chatter, besides, I’m sure mom will enjoy it more than anyone else.

Another thing going on is that I noticed Skype in has the 414 area code now so I’ll have a local number people can reach me at and voicemail. That should be convenient. I’ll get the second computer setup over the weekend (so there’ll always be a computer connected to Skype).

Today breezed right by. It’s like it didn’t even happen (well, not quite). I woke up later than usual, then boogied off to work. Worked, boogied home and goofed about. Not much worth talking about.

I am looking forward to this summer “vacation” to finish . I think I’ll read Frost and Adoaman’s blog before I slumber. If I get up early, there’s a Judo tournament I could go to so I’ll be sleeping soon.

Of the two days I’ve had the photoblog on emkid.net I haven’t missed a day. I think I’ll be getting the blog moved over there sooner instead of later.

I got my new site setup this morning like I said I would. Instead of posting, I’ll let my new site do the talking. I didn’t setup the gallery yet, but I got the daily photo blog setup (with 1 photo!!!)

Just got off the phone with me bro and I’m about to get ready for my day out. Enjoy the new site and 1 picture .

Just as I started writing, I realised I had an oops kind of day today. Lets count the oopses.

Running late to work… oops!
No problem, I’ll take a cab.
Ah! No money… oops!
Driver go here.
Wrong address… oops!
I get off work earlier than I thought, that’s nice. Let me check the Jujitsu schedule. GREAT! It’s at the place near my house, I think I’ll ride my bike.
Get home, leave with 20 minutes left, ah! No air in the tires… oops!
No biggie, I’ll pump’m up ’round the corner. Ten minutes and I’m there… Oops! Wrong location.
Shite! Well I’m speed demon over to the other one. 30 minutes later I’m at practice. A relaxing bike ride home… Oops! Don’t know my way LOL!

Well I eventually made it home. I’ve been threatened to get my images up, so I think I’ll get crackin’ on that. I’ll dedicate tomorrow morning to it (should only take an hour or so to get something going on).

Now sleep time.
