I really want to get those pictures and the mobile blogamajig hooked up but it’ll have to wait a day or three. This morning me and Brian went for a bike ride around a place where 3 rivers meet, so we had to do a lot of bridge crossing. A saw another piece to my “Where does all the Taiwan trash go?” puzzle today (the first being an incinerator). We rode by a dump that was right next to the river and some gardens (perfect placement eh?) Total ride distance today was 45 Kilometers.

After I got back from the ride I only had about 45 minutes to shower and mess around on the computer, then it was off to Game Club. Four of us arrived early and we started a game of Settlers with the knights expansion pack. That game ate up all of my game club time. Nice turn out at GC today, some new and old faces. When we finally finished, it was time for me to meet the wife for dinner with the family who had just got back from yesterday’s trip to Jia Yi. I’m retiring from Settlers of Catan for a few weeks. Dinner was good and it was back to the house.

A friend at game club let me borrow some Mobile Computing magazines (there pretty good, made me laugh out loud a few times), a book on Neanderthals (we were talking about them last week) and gave me some South Park episodes on VHS (woo hoo!)

Tomorrow’s a work day so I’ll have time to get my stuff up-to-miltowndate. I’m planning on getting a laptop soon so give me suggestion if you have any. All I want is WiFi and bluetooth, everything else is optional (DVD, CDRW, you know, things like that). I just want to use it for light Interneting via phone, browsing via WiFi and messing with my web page stuff.

Today, after a family meeting for lunch, I went to see this UFC style fighting event. It was pretty cool. The high(low)lights were; this old dude getting knocked unconscious from a younger guy (took a picture), this foreigner that wore a mask while he fought (looked kinda like King, I have a picture) and did Tekken style moves and, a few fights near the end that were just good fights.

Because of going to the fight, then jogging, talking with Paul and eating dinner (and messing with my new phone) I didn’t have time to get the photos up (I have more now). I’ll be sure to do something about it tomorrow. I’ll be getting some software to make it easier to format and upload photos. Mobile blogging will be coming up soon too.

Well it feels like it now anyway.

Today we had a Halloween thing at school today and I had my 100NT (under $3 US) costume on. It consisted of a painted on beard and a rhinestone cowboy hat. The Halloween event made class really easy because we had an activity in the morning, trick-or-treated a little bit, they ate breakfast and went to gym class afterwards. I had about 15 minutes to do something after that (I just read a book). Right when I finished reading a kid barfed all over and I caught some splashage on a sock. Pictures will be coming.

After that I met someone for lunch, went to I Ping’s office to show her my lame costume (she liked it), then it was back to the school to pick up the monthly wages. Relaxed at home for a bit, then it was back to I Ping’s office (I was meeting her to get my new phone). After we did a delivery for her friends company we went and got the phone stuff straightened out. She used an expired driver’s license when signing up so she had to go get a different ID. While she did that I wondered around (we were at Nova, it’s this electronics mall). She came back. I got the phone (the T610, the mobile blog will be up soon). Then we went to her brother’s house to show him something. Then finally back home.

Somewhere in between all of that I picked up 2 gaming magazines in Chinese and while flipping through one of them I saw an article about WinBack (OH YEAH!) I be sure to translate and post it.

Tomorrow should be a picture posting slap happy day. Ah yes, there’s some kind of tournament going on tomorrow (UFC style) and I’ll be checking that out and bring back pics. Now it’s off to beauty rest.

I started a thread on forumosa about firefox extensions. Someone might want to peep that one.

Almost forgot. Finished reading Da Vinci Code. Will write about that tomorrow.

I keep getting these strange comments with an on line poker link in them. I think they’re kind of funny, but I’ll probably take the proper steps to block those (I already updated a list of words spam usual has in them). Let me get a good example.

Who were the fools who spread the story that brute force cannot kill ideas? Nothing is easier. And once they are dead they are no more than corpses. by free on line poker (this is where he/she hides the link to his/her site).

That comment seems to match the book I’m reading nicely (The Da Vinci Code). There’s 12 comments total. I was going to kill them, but I think they’re funny enough to be left alone for now.

This is a quicky before betime post. I met up with a guy today for a game of Go. It ended up being quite an adventure. I forgot where to meet him so I tried to find an Internet cafe so I could check his message. I didn’t find one and ended up waiting at the wrong subway station. After about a 45 minute wait I decided to go back home (he had my cell number, but I didn’t have his). Then he called me after I went 2 stops on the MRT and told me where to meet him. Finally met him and it was off to dinner at a Cantonese place. After dinner we went to the Witches House, but got kicked out (kind of) because there were going to be having a preformance and preformances meant no gaming. Then we went looking for another place, didn’t find it and decided to play in a coffe shop (it was almost 10:00pm now and we were suppose to meet at 7). We got kicked out of there around 11:10 and played on the sidewalk for a while, but then we ended up not finishing so we could both catch the subway home. It was a good game and the first time I played on a full board with a person (live or online).

Looking forward to my next match. I get my new phone tomorrow and will be sure to post about it.
